This house is situated in a Green Belt area so it was important to have a meeting with Tandridge Council for pre-application advice.

The council’s advice was very specific, the extension had to look like an addition, the roof line had to be lower and it had to be one metre from the boundary on the first floor.

My clients wanted a double storey side extension with an integral garage on the ground floor which meant the space was very tight but there was just enough room for my client’s requests. On the first floor we added an additional bedroom upstairs with an en-suite shower room.
